Una castellanese, ora londinese, che cresce e mostra di essere diventata, a ogni prova, migliore. Si chiama Titia G e ve la presentiamo.

Nata e cresciuta a Roma a fine anni ’90, Titia (Tisha) cresce cantando in un coro parrocchiale di Ladispoli (RM) con sua madre. La sua passione per la musica la porta a prendere lezioni di danza Hip Hop e Funky a soli sette anni. “La danza era meno costosa delle lezioni di canto, non potevo permettermi di cantare professionalmente”, dichiara.
A soli dodici anni, dopo essersi trasferita a Castellana-Grotte, inizia a scrivere accompagnandosi con la chitarra creando le sue prime melodie.
A 18 anni Titia (Tisha) decide di intraprendere una nuova avventura a Londra.
Ispirata da Amy Winehouse, Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Prince e Michael Jackson, ma anche dalle italiane Elisa, Giorgia e Loredana Bertè, Titia (Tisha) inizia la sua carriera avvicinandosi alla musica dance degli anni ’80 e R&B degli anni ’90 mescolando l’italiano con l’inglese. Il resto è storia ancora da scrivere.

"Questa canzone la dedico a tutte quelle persone che potrebbero sentirsi sole: inseguite un sogno e siate semplicemente voi stessi. Non fermatevi mai. Avete il potere di decidere come vivere la vostra vita. Non lasciate che la paura di perdere vi impedisca di partecipare, in tutto". Spiega.

"Ho introdotto l'italiano nella mia scrittura perché è parte di me, quindi ho così pensato di creare qualcosa di diverso, qualcosa che in Italia non esista. Sono appena tornata da un'esperienza di sette settimane a New York e Los Angeles, lavorando con dei produttori e cercare sempre più di scoprire la mia identità artistica. Sicuramente vorrei ritornare lì e fare un'esperienza in Giappone, dove ho già un fanbase.

Born and raised in Rome, Italy in the late 90s, Titia grew up singing in a church choir following her mum’s steps. Her passion for music brought her to take Hip Hop and Funky dancing lessons when she was only 7 years old. “Dancing was cheaper than singing lessons. Mum couldn’t afford that, so I kept on singing in church.”
Titia decided to move to London to follow her dream when she was only 18 years old. “ I didn’t know anyone, I didn’t have a job, my English wasn’t great, I simply did it. I am a warrior, mama taught me to be one of them.”
Emotionally inspired by Amy Winehouse, Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Elisa, Giorgia, Renato Zero and Loredana Berte’, Titia started to think about a revival of the 80s and 90s music scene, blending lyrically the Italian with the English. “I have never seen an Italian artist doing this. I think I can make the difference”.
"I dedicate the song I'm just beeing me to all the people who feel alone sometimes: follow your dreams and simply be yourself. Don't ever give up, you are your own limit. You have the power to change your life. Don't ever let your fears winning over you. You got this. I felt like something was missing in my brand: my native culture. So I started adding Italian words in my music. I've never seen an Italian doing that and being so successful so I hope I can make a new wave and ispire new artists. I just came back from an experience in New York and Los Angeles, working with producers and discovering my artistic identity. Surely I will go back there and would love to do an experience in Japan, where I actually got a fanbase already".
